PHOENIX — Those looking to hit the slopes at Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff will finally have their chance this week after a short delay to the winter season.
Arizona Snowbowl will open for its 2021-22 winter season on Wednesday after the original date last Friday was delayed due to unusually warm temperatures, according to a press release.
The Arizona Gondola will be the only lift available to start and servicing access exclusively to expert terrain of Upper Ridge, Midway Catwalk, Logjam and Wild Turkey.
There will be no beginner terrain until further notice, Snowbowl said, but the snowmaking team is continuing to take advantage of colder temperatures to get some open throughout the week as weather permits.
The most up-to-date information regarding lift and terrain status can be found on Snowbowl’s Snow Report.
Loading on the gondola begins at 9 a.m. with the last chair at 4 p.m.
Lift ticket purchases and rental reservations must be done online, and the rental shop will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Hart Prairie Lodge will be open for rentals and guest services only, while the Hart Prairie Sport Shop will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Agassiz Lodge will be open for food and beverage from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
