PHOENIX — Valley drivers will only have to worry about three restrictions on Valley freeways this weekend, two of which are closures on Interstate 10 and Loop 101.
Northwest of downtown Phoenix, eastbound I-10 will be closed between 43rd Avenue and the I-17 stack interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for asphalt removal as part of an ongoing pavement improvement project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Northbound Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway ramps to eastbound I-10, including the HOV lane ramp, will be closed as part of the project, along with eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 67th and 51st avenues.
In north Phoenix, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway is set to be closed between Seventh Street and Interstate 17 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

The southbound Loop 101 HOV lane will be closed at the project location for that time period as well.
