PHOENIX — The Phoenix Zoo’s newest animal had guests saying “rhi-no way!” this past weekend with his brute strength and slick moves.

Chutti, a 6-year-old greater one-horned rhino, had no problem spinning the trunk of a palm tree on the bridge of his nose while swimming.

A 3-minute video provided by the zoo details Chutti’s performance skills as he stays cool and entertains a crowd.

Chutti is located along the Tropics Trail, which is next to the elephant habitat.

The zoo’s southern white rhinos — LouLou and Howie — are on the other side of the grounds on the Africa Trail.

The Phoenix Zoo is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day until Jan. 20 outside of Christmas.

ZooLights, the annual nighttime light illumination attraction, begins Nov. 24.

We want to hear from you.
