Closures on Loop 101, US 60 among Valley freeway restrictions this weekend

PHOENIX — Valley drivers will face closures on a portion of Loop 101 in north Phoenix and U.S. 60 in the East Valley this weekend.
Eastbound lanes of the Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Seventh Street and Tatum Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Both Interstate 17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101, northbound State Route 51 ramps to eastbound Loop 101, and eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 27th, 19th and Seventh avenues will also be closed as part of the project.
Eastbound lanes of the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway are scheduled to be closed between Gilbert and Greenfield roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for asphalt pavement removal.
I-17 will be one lane in both directions between McDowell and Van Buren (near the I-10 “Stack” interchange) from 4 a.m. to noon Saturday. On-ramps to the highway at Mesa and Stapley drives are also set to be closed for the project.
Near downtown Phoenix, I-17 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between McDowell Road and Van Buren Street from 4 a.m. to noon on Saturday for barrier wall repair.
In the West Valley, eastbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to two lanes near Avondale Boulevard from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for pavement repair work.
The project will also narrow westbound I-10 to three lanes near 75th Avenue during the same time.
Eastbound I-10 on-ramps at Fairway Drive and Dysart Road are set to be closed, along with the westbound I-10 on-ramp at 67th Avenue.
