Scottsdale, Gilbert among 10 best places for veterans to live, per WalletHub

PHOENIX — A personal finance website ranked Scottsdale and Gilbert among the 10 best places in the country for veterans to live.

WalletHub compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities on employment, economy, quality of life and health.

Scottsdale came in at No. 3 with top-10 ratings in employment and quality of life, while Gilbert came in at No. 5 overall and ranked second-best for employment and No. 7 in economy.

Among the various categories were subcategories, such as lowest veteran unemployment rate and lowest percentage of veterans in poverty.

Gilbert tied for first with five cities for the lowest veteran unemployment rate and had the fifth-lowest percentage of veterans in poverty.

Chandler also ranked relatively high at No. 17, followed by Tucson (No. 33), Mesa (No. 37), Glendale (No. 67) and Phoenix (No. 72).

The best place in the country for veterans is Tampa, Florida, according to WalletHub, while the worst was Detriot, Michigan.
