PHOENIX — A new Valley detox center may be small but it is offering a unique opportunity for both privacy and around-the-clock care.
The facility is part of Scottsdale Recovery Center and has just nine rooms, five for men and four for women.
Scottsdale Recovery Center already offers partial hospitalization and outpatient treatment, but this intimate new program offers some special advantages.
“Our detox facility will make it easier for clients to do everything they need to at each level of care with us,” Clinical Director Christina Orellana told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Orellana adds that continuity of care is important for success.
“By starting the detox process with us, they’re able to smoothly transition into a program of recovery that’s a little more long-term,” Orellana said.
“We offer them the resources they need to support their sobriety when they’re no longer in our care.”
The detox process is difficult, but giving patients a good environment helps prepare them for the obstacles they’ll face when they’re back in the community.
“Everything’s happening in one place… the client is receiving therapy in the same place they’re living,” Orellana said. “It’s really giving them an opportunity to truly heal.”
Scottsdale Recovery Center’s new detox facility is currently accepting clients.
