Harkins presents limited ‘Under the Stars’ rooftop cinema experience in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — Over the next two weekends, Harkins Theatres is hosting a nighttime, rooftop moviegoing experience for guests of all ages to enjoy.

The Moonlight Cinema experience is scheduled to feature two movies on Friday and Saturday, as well as Nov. 12 and 13, on a rooftop next to Harkins Camelview at Fashion Square in Scottsdale.

Through a digital projection, guests can watch “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” or “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” on Friday and Saturday.

The second weekend will bring movies “Office Space” and “Star Wars: A New Hope” to the big screen.

Tickets are selling for $14 and guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and dress warm for the cool weather.

Harkins will provide various concessions offerings and beverages, including popcorn, hot cocoa, handcrafted cocktails, bottled beverages, flatbreads and cookies.

Visitors can find parking at the garage near Camelview at Fashion Square.
