All 1.4 million registered voters eligible to participate were sent early ballots that could be returned by mail or dropped off at voting centers by Election Day, which was Nov. 2. In-person voting was also offered.

In all, 308,268 ballots were tallied, representing about 21.9% of eligible voters, according to the Maricopa County Elections Department.

After Election Day, county staff worked to contact voters whose signatures didn’t match what was on file. Anybody whose signature was questioned had until the curing period ended at 5 p.m. Friday to contact the elections department.
