In this photo by Binsar Bakkara, a farmer harvests cabbages from a field a few meters from the danger zone of Mount Sinabung volcano under partly cloudy skies in Tiga Serangkai, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The volcano was placed at the highest alert level last week following a sharp increase in activity, and a new burst of hot ash was unleashed Wednesday. More than 2,700 people have been evacuated from villages within the danger zone, which stretches 7 kilometers to the south and southeast of the crater. Sinabung has erupted sporadically since 2010 after being dormant for 400 years. The 2,460-meter (8,070-foot) volcano is among about 130 that are active in Indonesia.
