Police seek help finding suspect accused of fatal hit-and-run in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect accused in a fatal hit-and-run in Phoenix, authorities said Monday.
Delano Pore, 37, is wanted by authorities in the Oct. 23 death of 42-year-old Jeannie Montoya, Phoenix Police Department Sgt. Ann Justus said during a press conference.
An off-duty officer witnessed Montoya attempt to exit a box truck driven by Pore at the intersection of 59th Avenue and Palm Lane at about 2:45 p.m., Justus said.

Pore allegedly began to drive away, causing Montoya to fall to the ground. Montoya was subsequently run over by the truck, according to Justus.
The box truck was found a short distance away from the scene, but Pore was gone, according to Justus.
Montoya was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police believe Pore could be in Arizona or California.
