PHOENIX — The couple behind two Valley restaurants is set to debut a new Asian-American fusion concept in Scottsdale later this fall.

Scott and Melissa McIntire, owners of The Ainsworth in downtown Phoenix and The Lola at Westgate in Glendale, with Valley radio personality “Joey Boy” Rodriguez recently announced that Buddha’s Ritual would be coming to SOHO Scottsdale on the southwest corner of Bahia Drive and 92nd Street.

“We’re excited to bring something entirely new to the area and are confident it is going to be well-received,” Scott McIntire said in a press release, adding he and Rodriguez decided the live/work loft and townhome community was the right place for the new restaurant after looking at a number of spaces in Scottsdale.

The 2,700 square foot restaurant, which is described as a street fare meets streetwear concept, will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Various breakfast items are available such as croissant waffles and Buddha’s Benny with crispy pork belly, according to the release, while evening choices include pho, ramen, a deconstructed Banh Mi plate, kimchi mac and cheese, kimchi grilled cheese, and stone brick oven pizzas with Asian-inspired toppings.

A cocktail program and a happy hour will also be available, similar to the couple’s other two Valley offerings.

Guests enter the restaurant through a hot pink front door and multiple garage doors enable an indoor-outdoor space that includes an expansive patio featuring a fire pit, lawn games and a large bar, according to the release.

Buddha’s Ritual in preparation for the opening is looking to hire 50 people for all front and back of house positions. Those interested can apply by email. Open interviews will also be held onsite every Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as the opening date gets closer.

Freddy Nguyen, local entrepreneur and branding visionary, created Buddha’s Ritual, according to the release.
