Chandler police seek suspect in hit-and-run with mother and child

PHOENIX — The Chandler Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying the driver of a vehicle that struck a mother and child on Thursday.
Officers responded to a call around 2:20 p.m. near California and Tulsa streets about a hit-and-run accident involving a mother and child.
The mother was pushing the child in a stroller on a sidewalk when a northbound car on California Street lost control, struck her and the kid, hit a block wall and a tree, according to authorities.
The pair received minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
Police said the suspect vehicle may be a light gray or white two-door Ford Mustang.
Authorities said the vehicle likely has damages on the front-end.
The identities of the victims weren’t released.
