Armed robbery suspect captured after escape from Phoenix police facility

PHOENIX – An armed robbery suspect who escaped from a Phoenix police facility early Friday is back in custody, authorities said.
The suspect, 20-year-old Tyler Woodward, has tattoos on his face, forehead and neck, but he is known to cover them with makeup, police said.
He escaped a police facility near Central Avenue and Elwood Street, north of Broadway Road, around 1 a.m.
At about 1 p.m., police said Woodward had been taken into custody about a mile away, near Seventh Street and Elwood.

No other information was immediately available.
