PHOENIX — Valley drivers will face a closure of Loop 101 in north Phoenix and multiple restrictions on Interstate 10 this weekend.

In north Phoenix, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Tatum Boulevard and Seventh Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for lane striping, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Southbound State Route 51 and westbound Loop 202 ramps to westbound I-10 at the Mini Stack will also be closed as part of the project.

Drivers using the west exit at Sky Harbor International Airport should also be aware the westbound Sky Harbor Blvd. ramp to westbound I-10 will be limited to access to northbound State Route 51 or eastbound Loop 202 during the tunnel inspections.

In the Chandler area, the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 between Chandler Boulevard and Baseline Road will also be narrowed to two lanes from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for the Broadway Curve Improvement Project. Westbound I-10 on-ramps at Chandler Boulevard and Warner Road are also set to be closed during that time.

The project will then narrow the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 between the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway and Chandler Boulevard from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The eastbound I-10 on-ramps at Baseline and Warner roads are set to be closed during that time as well.

The westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway primary ramp to westbound I-10 in the area of the project will also be closed from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for maintenance.

The final scheduled Interstate 10 restriction for the weekend is in Buckeye where the highway will be narrowed to one lane in either direction between Verrado Way and State Route 85 from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday and from 7 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening project.

Also in the West Valley, the southbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway will be closed between Thomas Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday for a pavement improvement project.

The southbound Loop 101 ramps to I-10 in addition to the southbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Camelback and Indian School roads are also set to be closed for the project.
