PHOENIX — Chandler police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a young man suspected of robbing a bank Tuesday afternoon.

The man is described as being between 18 to 20 years old, standing 5-foot-7 with a thin build and having dirty blond or brown hair, the Chandler Police Department said in a press release.

He allegedly entered a bank near the intersection of Queen Creek and Alma School roads around 1 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money, authorities said.

The note referred to the man possibly having a gun, authorities said.

The man took the money and exited the bank, authorities said, running southwest through the area on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130.

No additional information was available.
