Silver Alert canceled for 76-year-old Phoenix man with cognitive condition

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Wednesday for a 76-year-old Phoenix man with a cognitive condition.

John Ward was last seen in the area of Fifth and Vermont avenues on foot earlier in the day.

No details about the nature of the cancellation have been revealed.

Ward has a medical condition which may cause him to be easily confused and lost.

He was last seen in a blue baseball cap, tan jacket, tan sweatshirt, blue plaid pajama pants and brown loafers.

Ward is 5-foot-9 and 130 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on Ward’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-534-2121 or after hours at 602-262-6151.
