PHOENIX — Phoenix police officers found two people dead in their home early Saturday in what appeared to be a murder-suicide, authorities said.
Authorities responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. near Chandler Boulevard north of Loop 202, from Daniel Chacon, 51, who said he had just shot his wife and was going to shoot himself.
When officers arrived at the scene they tried making contact with anyone inside the home but upon entry, found Chacon and his wife, Christina Becerra, 50, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said preliminary information suggests Chacon shot Becerra and then himself.
