Our Saturday show last week with Rick DeGraw was preempted by the Coyotes game. The show was too good to miss, so we are re-running it this week.

DeGraw has been doing politics in Arizona for the last 50 years.

He has an unparalleled perspective on changes in Arizona politics over the last half century. This last week was an unusually rich source of political happenings.

DeGraw joins the Think Tank as we discuss:

• The striking down of almost the entire Republican legislative agenda by a Maricopa County Superior Court judge who found that the Legislature failed to follow the Arizona Constitution’s requirement that legislation pertain to a “single subject.” Tossed were several state prohibitions on COVID-related mandates (like masks in schools), a ban on critical race theory, several measures the Republicans call “voter integrity” (and Democrats think of as “voter suppression” measures). Basically, just about every Republican initiative other than the budget.

• The long-waited for release of the state Senate “audit” of the 2020 election in Maricopa County.

• Sen. Krysten Sinema’s dalliance with Republicans that has infuriated much of her Democratic base.

• The collusion between the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and the Phoenix Police Department in charging several demonstrators with felonies and other crimes on demonstrably false and fabricated evidence. Should County Attorney Allister Adel resign?

All this and more in this week’s Think Tank.

The Think Tank airs on KTAR 92.3 FM on Saturday 6-7 p.m. and Sundays 9-10 p.m.

Podcasts are available after broadcast.
