PHOENIX — It’s time to grab a stein and get ready for this year’s Gilbert Oktoberfest.

Coming to Gilbert on Oct. 23, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gilbert Regional Park (3005 E. Queen Creek Road), the family-friendly event will celebrate German culture with various Oktoberfest-themed activities.

Festivities will include stein holding competitions, a bratwurst eating competition, oversized games and themed food and beverages.

A craft beer selection provided by local breweries such as OHSO Brewery and Distillery, 12 West Brewing Company and Desert Monks Brewing Co. will be available for guests to choose from, and specialty kegs will also be tapped throughout the day.

Tickets to the event are $12 through online presale and will sale for $20 the day of the event. Children 12 and under will be admitted into the event for free.

A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Greater Cause Foundation which offers funding to various Arizona causes such as the Children’s Cancer Dream Network, Military Assistance Mission and Salt River Wild Horse Management Group.

We want to hear from you.
