Free concert series in Glendale set to begin on Friday

PHOENIX — A free 14-concert series is scheduled to begin in Glendale on Friday.
LiVE! @ Murphy Park will feature up-and-coming along with established local artists at the Murphy Park Amphitheater, according to a press release.
Concerts will take place every Thursday through Sunday until the end of October with each event starting at 7 p.m.
Soul Power Band will kick the series off and country artist Ashley Wineland will follow on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Latin group Jaleo will be the final act to perform on Oct. 30.
There will also be a 10-foot-tall metal sculpture of a guitar made by local artist Kristine Kollasch on display for photos.
Murphy Park is located at 58th and Glendale avenues in downtown Glendale. There will be free parking available.
