PHOENIX — The Glendale Chamber of Commerce on Thursday launched a mobile app intended to help visitors in downtown Glendale navigate around shops and merchants promote their products.

The Experience Glendale app was created to help visitors navigate their time around the downtown area, while offering gamification features as they shop and walk between businesses, officials said in a press release.

Merchants in the area will also have a chance to advertise their services and products to attract customers in the marketplace.

Once a user is logged into the free mobile app — available to locals and guests 18 and over — they can track themed achievements that are rewarded for experiences in the app and across downtown Glendale.

Guests can also search for upcoming events at local stores in the area.

Developers of the app expect more experiences and offerings to come in 2022 and 2023.

Experience Glendale is available for download on the App Store and on Google Play.

We want to hear from you.
