PHOENIX — Firefighters on Tuesday recovered the body of an 18-year-old man who drowned after jumping into Tempe Town Lake earlier in the morning, authorities said.
The man was identified as Jacobi Walker.
Walker was at the lake with friends when he entered the water on his own and did not resurface around 1:15 a.m., authorities said.
There were no signs of foul play or that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the man’s death, authorities said.
Walker’s body was recovered in the lake along the Salt River at about 2 a.m.
