PHOENIX – Neighbors led an elderly man from his burning Phoenix home to safety early Wednesday in a blaze that took crews from three fire departments to control.
A spokesman for the Phoenix Fire Department said no one was injured at the house near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.
Firefighters had been told there was a chance someone was inside the house but that neighbors had been trying to get him out of the house.
Crews arrived and searched inside the home to make sure no one else was inside then began fighting the fire.
Avondale and Glendale fire departments assisted in the operation.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.
No other details were released.
