PHOENIX– The Chandler Museum is commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11 through a limited-time exhibit, officials announced Thursday.
The 14-poster exhibition is curated by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York and will run from Sept. 11 through Oct. 10, according to a press release.
It will show archival photographs and images of artifacts from the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
The exhibition’s goal is to show commemoration, education and inspiration. There will be personal stories on display from witnesses and those who survived the attacks 20 years ago.
It’s a reminder that while there are dark days, how people respond matters greatly, per the museum website.
There will also be a QR code which links to the digital remembrance wall at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. This will show stories and tributes from around the country.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 300 S. Chandler Village Dr. Admission is free.
