MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in the death of his wife, whose body was found in Maryland by investigators using a GPS device in his vehicle.

Kyle Crosby, 28, is jailed on $2 million bail. He could face a life sentence if convicted of killing 26-year-old Erica Crippen.

Investigators found Crippen’s body March 17 along a rural road in Sykesville, Maryland. She had been missing since New Year’s Eve, and her body was discovered under some branches and brush. Prosecutors have said the body was wrapped in a blanket; her arms, legs and neck were bound with an electrical cord and duct tape was on her face and nose.

The couple lived in Mount Laurel, in southern New Jersey, with their infant daughter and Crippen’s 7-year-old daughter.

Besides the murder count, Crosby faces two child endangerment counts and single counts of desecrating human remains and hindering apprehension. He pleaded not guilty Thursday, the Burlington County Times (http://bit.ly/1AGLUZQ ) reported.

His 67-year-old mother, Jo Crosby of Sicklerville, faces counts of hindering apprehension and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. She also pleaded not guilty Thursday and remains free on $12,500 bail.

Authorities have said Jo Crosby provided significant assistance to her son as he allegedly attempted to conceal Crippen’s death.
