Phoenix family of 4 escapes house fire without injury

PHOENIX – A family of four lost belongings but came away from a house fire unharmed late Tuesday night in Phoenix.
The two-story home near 24th Street and Indian School Road was burning and the family was safely outside when a crew from the Phoenix Fire Department arrived around 11 p.m., first responders said.
Firefighters made their way into the smoke-filled house, where flames were visible from the outside, and eventually put out the blaze.
Cause of the fire is under investigation, a department spokesman said.
No other details were made available.
