2 children, 4 adults hospitalized after multi-vehicle accident in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Two children and four adults were taken to hospitals Saturday morning after a multi-vehicle accident happened in Phoenix, authorities said.

The incident occurred near 40th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix just before 11:30 a.m., Phoenix Fire Capt. Scott Douglas said in an email.

The two children, a two-year-old and nine-month-old, were take to local hospitals in stable condition, as well as two adults in their 20’s, Douglas said.

Two other adults, both in their 20’s, were hospitalized in critical condition, Douglas said.

The names of the individuals haven’t been released.

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.

No other information was made available.
