PHOENIX — An Interstate 10 closure as part of the Broadway Curve Improvement Project will disrupt traffic around Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport this weekend.

Eastbound I-10 will be closed between the State Route 51 interchange and U.S. 60 from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for asphalt removal and work-zone setup as part of the project.

All eastbound I-10 on-ramps, which include ramps to eastbound I-10 from southbound SR 51, westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway, southbound I-17 and southbound State Route 143, will also be closed, as will the southbound I-17 on-ramps at Seventh Street and Seventh Avenue.

Access to the airport will be available by exiting southbound I-17 to northbound 16th Street and using eastbound Buckeye Road, as well as from eastbound Loop 202 and southbound SR 143.

Drivers coming from the West Valley are advised to consider using the eastbound Loop 202 to connect with I-10 near Chandler Boulevard.

In northeast Phoenix, the westbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Scottsdale Road and 56th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.

The westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Pima and Hayden roads will also be closed.

Cave Creek Road will also be closed in both directions at Loop 101 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In north Peoria, northbound Loop 303 will close overnight between El Mirage Road and Lone Mountain Parkway from 8 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. It will then be closed between Happy Valley and Lone Mountain parkways from 7 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday for traffic shift to new freeway lanes.

Northbound Loop 303 will be narrowed to one lane between Lone Mountain and Lake Pleasant parkways from 7 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday.

In Mesa, the Loop 202 Santan Freeway ramps in both directions to eastbound State Route 24 will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for construction.
