PHOENIX – A Phoenix-area high school was evacuated Thursday after it received a bomb threat over the phone, officials said.
All students and staff at Cactus Shadows High School in north Scottsdale were safe and accounted for, Principal Sarah Barela said in a letter to parents.
Everybody was moved to the football stadium north of the campus while the Scottsdale Police Department investigated the scene.
Parents were asked to pick their kids up at the Black Mountain/Fine Arts Center parking lot off 60th Street near Falcon Drive, not at the high school. Buses will run as usual.
Students who drive to school will be allowed to access their vehicles after police deem the campus safe.
No other information was immediately available.
