AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — In a story published Aug. 20, 2021, about Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick blaming rising hospitalization and death rates from COVID-19 on unvaccinated Black people, The Associated Press erroneously reported the percentage of the state’s Black population that has been vaccinated.
