PHOENIX — Two men and one teenage boy were killed after a shooting at a parking lot in Phoenix early Friday morning, authorities said.
The incident occurred near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road where three men and two teenage boys met up just after midnight to conduct a business transaction that was arranged over social media, Phoenix Police Sgt. Andy Williams said in a press release.
During the talks, police said something escalated the situation that caused both groups to point guns and fire at each other.
Police found both teenage boys and one of the men with gunshot wounds and took them to the hospital.
Victor Manuel Cruz, 19, and Avery Young, 19, were killed in shooting as well as a 16-year-old boy.
Another teenager was in serious condition but was expected to survive.
Police have detained a witness and don’t believe anyone else is involved.
