Northbound Interstate 17 closed in North Valley due to fatal crash

PHOENIX — Northbound Interstate 17 was closed in the North Valley during rush hour Thursday afternoon due to a fatal crash, authorities said.
The lanes were closed at Anthem Way from about 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The driver of a Postal Service tractor trailer was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said.
All traffic was forced to exit at Daisy Mountain Drive.
