Yuma police arrest medical center employee accused of sexual abuse

PHOENIX — The Yuma Police Department has arrested a medical center employee accused of sexually assaulting three adult men in the past eight months, authorities said Saturday.

The investigation revealed Jose Arias, a 35-year-old employee at the Yuma Regional Medical Center, committed the crimes between December 2020 and August 2021, police said.

He was arrested and booked Friday around 10:45 p.m. on various charges of sexual abuse, sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse.

Authorities said the medical center has been cooperative throughout the investigation.

The investigation into this case remains ongoing.
