North Italia, Flower Child opening Gilbert restaurants in September

PHOENIX — Arizona-based restaurants North Italia and Flower Child will each open a new location near the SanTan Village in Gilbert next month.
Both restaurants will be at 1950 E. Williams Field Road, with Flower Child in Suite 101 and North Italia in Suite 102, according to a press release.
North Italia is set to open Sept. 22, while sister restaurant Flower Child opens its doors Sept. 28.
Each restaurant will hold an in-venue job fair, with North Italia hiring for all front and back of house positions and Flower Child looking to fill prep-cook, line cook, serving and dishwasher positions.
The job fair at North Italia’s new spot will take place Aug. 18-21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Aug. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 23-28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Aug. 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 30-Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Flower Child’s job fair at its new restaurant is set to be from Sept. 7-18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, with applicants able to apply in-person, receive same-day interviews and potentially be hired on the spot, according to the release.

Renowned restaurateur Sam Fox conceptualized North Italia’s cuisine and cocktail options in 2002. Menu items include Cacio e Pepe Pizza, Glazed Short Rib Cavatelli and Wagyu Skirt Steak Tagliata with specialty cocktails of Ginger Blossom Margarita, White Peach Negroni and Italian Clover.
Flower Child is also part of Fox’s company, Fox Restaurant Concepts, and focuses on healthy fast-casual cuisine with a customizable menu that includes bowls, wraps, salads, a variety of mix-and-match veggies, grains, fruits and healthy proteins.
Fox sold his restaurant group to the Cheesecake Factory in 2019, but he remains responsible for its day-to-day operations as its founder.
The new restaurants mark the 28th location for each restaurant, according to the release.
North Italia and Flower Child each have locations in California, Nevada, Texas, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Flower Child also has locations in Colorado, Georgia, Maryland and North Carolina, while North Italia also has restaurants in Alabama and Florida.
