PHOENIX — Police are searching for a suspect after the body of a teen boy was found in Phoenix Saturday morning, authorities said.

Phoenix police officers responded to the scene near 15th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 5:30 a.m. about a reported body seen in the area.

The teen, who was identified Sunday as 16-year-old Marco Guerra, was found dead with “obvious signs of trauma,” authorities said in a press release.

Homicide detectives began an investigation in the morning, and the county Medical Examiner will work to determine the cause of death, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Phoenix police at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.
