Silver Alert canceled for 77-year-old Sun City West man with Alzheimer’s

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Wednesday after a 77-year-old Sun City West man who suffers from Alzheimer’s was safely located.

Peter Ekholm was last seen leaving his residence near Sentinel and Huron drives at about 8:45 a.m. earlier that day.

Ekholm was headed to CVS Pharmacy in a 2016 white Chevrolet Equinox, which bears the license plate “ELKHOLM,” and never returned.

He also suffers from dementia and bipolar disorder, and does not have his cellphone on him.

Ekholm was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, sky blue pants and sandals with white socks.

He is 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds with some gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Ekholm’s whereabouts is asked to call the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011.
