Portions of Loop 101, Interstate 10 only Valley freeway closures this weekend

PHOENIX — Drivers will face closures on Loop 101 in northeast Phoenix and on Interstate 10 in the East Valley this weekend.
Eastbound I-10 will be closed between the U.S. 60 interchange in Tempe and Chandler Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for asphalt removal as part of the new I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The westbound U.S. 60 ramp to eastbound I-10 as well as the eastbound I-10 on-ramps between Broadway and Ray roads will also be closed as part of the project.
The eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between Tatum Boulevard and Pima Road and Princess Drive from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for lane striping as part of a widening project.
Northbound SR 51 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 and the eastbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cave Creek Road will also be closed.
In east Mesa, the westbound State Route 24 Gateway Freeway ramp to the westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Sunday for pavement maintenance.
South of downtown Phoenix, drivers should also be aware of a closure on Central Avenue in both directions at Interstate 17 from 9 p.m. Friday to noon on Saturday for bridge work as the street will be limited to local traffic only in areas between Buckeye and Broadway roads.
