PHOENIX – One suspect remains at large but two others have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old girl earlier this month, Phoenix police said.

Police said 18-year-old Lindsey B. Aguilar is wanted in the July 3 shooting death of Itzel Espinoza.

Jesus Valle Padilla, 19, was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder by facilitation and a 16-year-old boy is facing a charge of abandonment of a body.

Espinoza, 17, was found dead inside a parked car near 35th Avenue and Southern Avenue at sunrise.

According to court records, Espinoza argued with Aguilar and then ran to a parked car, got inside and locked the door.

Aguilar banged on a car window, demanding Espinoza get out.

Witnesses told police that Aguilar asked the 19-year-old suspect for his gun and then fired multiple shots at Espinoza.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
