More rain, possible thunderstorms in the forecast for Phoenix this week

PHOENIX — Phoenix could be in for another week of monsoon storms as precipitation chances are in the forecast each day and increase as the week goes on.
There will be a 30% chance of rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain chances increase to 40% on Wednesday and 60% on Thursday and Friday before dipping a bit to 50% on Saturday.
Between a tenth- and quarter-inch of precipitation is expected each day Thursday through Saturday, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Temperatures are expected to remain in the triple digits to start the week with highs of 104 on Monday, 106 on Tuesday and 105 on Wednesday.
It is expected temperatures will dip slightly to end the week with a high of 99 on Thursday, 97 on Friday and 96 on Saturday.
The low temperature for each night this week is expected to remain in the mid-to-high 80s.
Storms last week brought just over an inch of rain to some parts of the Valley, with a storm early Wednesday morning knocking out power to thousands for a few hours.
