Portion of Loop 101 in Phoenix is only weekend Valley freeway closure

PHOENIX — A closure on a portion of Loop 101 in north Phoenix is the only scheduled freeway closure for Valley drivers this weekend.
The eastbound Loop 101 Pima Freeway will be closed between State Route 51 and 56th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Northbound SR 51 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 as well as eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Seventh Street and Cave Creek Road will also be closed.
Also in Phoenix, the southbound SR 143 on-ramp from eastbound University Drive and the westbound I-10 on-ramp at 40th Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday for pre-construction work.
In Tempe, the north- and southbound Loop 101 Price Freeway ramps to the eastbound US 60 Superstition Freeway will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Sunday for pavement maintenance.

South of the Chandler area, State Route 587 will be narrowed to one lane between Goodyear Road and Indian Route 68 until 9 p.m. Sunday for pavement maintenance.
In Maricopa, State Route 347 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions in areas between Lakeview Drive and Edison Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for resurfacing.
