PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey on Tuesday announced a “Rally the Valley” banner will be displayed on the state Capitol through the end of the 2021 NBA Finals.

“The Phoenix Suns have assembled one of their strongest lineups in recent memory and have an incredible record going into these final games,” Ducey said in a press release. “All of Arizona is behind them and with this banner, we’re showing our support here at the State Capitol. Let’s go Suns!”

The 30-foot wide purple and orange banner will drape from the Capitol’s Executive Tower and can be seen from the east side of the complex from downtown Phoenix.

Additionally, the Capitol dome will be lit in the teams colors beginning Tuesday at sundown.

The Suns hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is set for Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, against the Bucks.

This is the first time since 1993 the Suns has made it to the NBA Finals.
