PHOENIX — For thrill seekers who want to get up close and personal with ancient reptiles, the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary is hosting multiple tours to watch crocodile feedings on select Saturdays in July and August.

The tours include a night time scavenger hunt when attendees can use flashlights to see the crocodiles’ reflective eyeshine, a petting zoo, classroom session, feeding demonstration and face painting.

Three tours are scheduled for July 17, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28.

Each event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission for the tours cost $25 for adults, $20 for children ages 4-17 and are free for toddlers.

Tickets can be purchased on the sanctuary’s website.

Appointments are required to attend all events at the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary, located in north Scottsdale.
