PHOENIX — A 3-year-old boy has died after drowning in a pool at a Fourth of July party in Glendale, authorities said.
Glendale firefighters responded to a call near 91st and Glendale Avenues on Sunday about a boy who had fallen into a pool.
The child didn’t have a heartbeat while receiving CPR on the pool deck, authorities said.
He was transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition where he was pronounced dead.
The child and his family were visitors attending an Independence Day party, where authorities said there were around 15 to 20 adults and eight to 12 children.
Authorities said the child went undetected into the locked and fenced pool area, and it in unknown how long he was in the water before being found by a party goer.
No additional information was available at this time.
