One vacant home used for storage on the property was destroyed by the blaze.
The Phoenix Fire Department said that fires of its size are upgraded to third alarm to allow more personnel to rotate and stay hydrated during extinguishing process.
Homes in the area lost power due to the blaze and APS was on scene to restore it to the neighborhood.
