PHOENIX — The Goodyear Recreation Campus is scheduled to open Saturday, with a range of indoor and outdoor amenities available to the public, officials announced.

The 40-acre campus, located near Estrella Parkway and Harrison Street, will include an eGaming center, indoor gymnasium, fitness studios, baseball/softball fields, two water slides, a splash play area and a lazy river, according to a press release Wednesday.

Both of the water slides stand at 27-feet tall and are the largest water slides in Arizona outside of water parks, according to the release.

“The recreation campus was designed and built for our residents,” Mayor Georgia Lord said in the release. “There is truly something for everyone, no matter your level of activity. It will provide a safe and inclusive community gathering place for everyone to enjoy.”

The city of Goodyear said it will provide discount passes and scholarships in the future to residents who may have limited financial resources.

This year’s all-inclusive pass can be purchased for individuals or families for $75 in recognition of the city’s 75th anniversary.
