PHOENIX — Entries are now being accepted for the annual Arizona wildlife calendar photo contest.
Professional and amateur photographers can submit their best high-resolution images of the state’s wildlife to Arizona Highways by Aug. 13.
The best in show and 11 first-place winners will be featured in the 2022 Arizona Wildlife Views calendar.
Top entries could also be featured in future issues of the Arizona Highways magazine.
The winners and honorable mentions for the contest, sponsored by Arizona Highways and the Arizona Game and Fish Department, will be announced in November.
Jay O’Brien won the most recent contest with his photo of storm clouds in the Grand Canyon.
Photos must be images of native Arizona wildlife taken in the state. Entrants must be at least 18 years old or have parents’ permission if underage.
A full list of rules is available on the AZGFD website.
