Valley 4-year-old in extremely critical condition following drowning incident

PHOENIX — A 4-year-old boy was taken to a local pediatric emergency department in extremely critical condition after he was found floating in a pool Saturday evening in Phoenix, authorities said.
Phoenix Police Department officers arrived at the residence near Thomas Road and 67th Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. and conducted CPR until fire department personnel arrived and took over resuscitation efforts.
The boy was in the pool for an unknown period of time, according to authorities.
No other information was immediately available.
