PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in identifying a suspect’s vehicle involved in a West Valley hit-and-run on Sunday.
Viktorija Defrees was struck and killed by a dark colored SUV — possibly a 2006-09 Hummer H3 — at about 3 a.m. near Buckeye Road and 103rd Avenue in Tolleson, according to dash cam video.
The vehicle continued westbound on Buckeye Road, leaving the scene, MCSO said in a press release.
Authorities believe the vehicle may not have been damaged much because of its size.
The vehicle has multiple distinctive features — wide tires, a bottom left rear bumper license plate location and light-colored tow hook.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact MCSO at 602-876-8477 or 602-876-1011.
