PHOENIX – A wildfire continues to burn across rural southeastern Arizona as officials enter the tenth day of battling the blaze.

The Pinnacle Fire has consumed 31,715 acres in Graham County’s Santa Teresa Mountains since igniting on June 10, according to the latest incident command report.

In a previous Saturday morning report, the fire had consumed 28,783 acres. Containment of the blaze went 15% up to 25%.

The flames have been fueled by timber, grass and chaparral in rough terrain.

Evacuation status for Black Rock Road area and Klondyke-Aravaipa corridor residents in Graham County was been set to “GO” on Thursday morning, according to a Southwest Incident Management Team.

Around 453 personnel have been assigned to battle the blaze.

The cause of the Pinnacle Fire remains under investigation.
