PHOENIX – Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in Phoenix that occurred Thursday morning but have little to go by.

Officers responded to an injured person near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 4:45 a.m. and found an unresponsive adult male, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

Phoenix Fire Department responders pronounced the man, whose identity has not been made public, dead at the scene.

There weren’t any witnesses, but police said debris and other evidence was consistent with a collision.

No other details were made available.

Anybody with information about the case was asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.

We want to hear from you.
